The Office of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District of The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has documented that the Ukrainian filmdirector Oleg Sentsov, currently being held in the Russian colony, is a citizen of Ukraine.
Sentsov’s lawyer Dmitry Dinze reported this on his social network page. He posted a copy of the relevant certificate.
«Convict Sentsov O.G. is a citizen of the Republic of Ukraine. Was transferred to the colony in October 9, 2017. In his personal file, the passport No. 477125, issued on November 12, 1997», – the document said.
The address of the certificate is «Moscow, Leontief Lane, 18. Consulate of the Republic of Ukraine». On the input stamp of the certificate is indicated «the Consulate of Ukraine in Yekaterinburg».
It should be noted that in he Constitution of Ukraine submitted the name of the Ukrainian state as «Ukraine», and Article 5 of the Basic Law defines the republican form of its government. Representatives of Ukraine, located in Moscow on Leontief lane, bear the official names «Embassy of Ukraine to the Russian Federation» and «Consular Section of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Russian Federation».
As «The Journalist» reported, Kremlin want Senetsov to ask ask Putin for pardon personally.
