Poroshenko to hold separate talks with Erdogan before meeting with Macron

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will official visit to the Republic of Turkey on November 3 – 4, the Presidential press service reports.

The 7th meeting of the High-Level Strategic Council will be held in Istanbul under the chairmanship of Ukraine’s and Turkey’s presidents on November 3.

The event’s agenda provides for discussion the key issues of the political dialogue; the current state and prospects for the development of Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation in the trade-economic, scientific-technical, defense-industrial, energy, transport, cultural, humanitarian, educational and tourist fields.

Poroshenko will hold separate talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

It is planned that the Head of the Ukrainian state will open a memorial plaque on the building of the former (1919-1922) UNR diplomatic mission; visit Istanbul University, where the department of the Ukrainian language and literature functioning, and also will open the archival documents exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Ukrainian-Turkish diplomatic relations.

As part of his visit to Turkey, Poroshenko will visit Antalya, where he will take part in the inauguration ceremony of the Ukrainian Consulate and the Ukrainian House culture center.

As The Journalist reported, Poroshenko to visit Paris on November 11, in response to Macron’s invitation.
