In early June the Ukrainian Ports Forum took place in Odessa. During the event the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan, made a statement on the new roads to be built in Ukraine. This is reported by «autonews.ua».
It is reported about ten modern roads are going to be built until 2030 on a concession basis. The first road construction will start in 2019.
«Our vision is 10 autobahns that will connect the whole of Ukraine. They must be built on the concession principle of toll roads. I hope that the construction of the first road will begin next year. The first candidate is a highway between Lviv and Krakovets, The second will be Kyiv-Bila Tservka», – said Omelyan.
The minister also noted that there are already work is underway on the construction of several objects at the moment.
«Go Highway (Gdansk – Odessa), the construction of which was started by the Groysman government. Also the road Via Carpathia which is the continuation of Odessa-Reni to Greece. Also the development of internal directions: Lviv – Kiev – Kharkiv – Donetsk, Kiev – Kerch, Poltava – Dnipro is in progress», – Omelyan added.
As «The Journalist» reported earlier, the Ukrainian roads are better than in Paraguay, but worse than in Mozambique and Nigeria.
