The «acute Sonne dysentery» diagnosis was confirmed in 18 children from the summer camp «Orlyatko» (Donetsk region), – the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported.
Yesterday, on July 19, the Donetsk Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health established the cause of the outbreak of acute intestinal infection in the children’s camp «Orlyatko», which was happened on July 16-17.
The diagnosis of «acute Sonne dysentery», the causative agents of which are shigella dysentery Sonne, was confirmed in 18 of 94 children.
Patients are under constant monitoring and receive the necessary treatment, at present their condition reported is satisfactory.
During the comprehensive sanitary and epidemiological investigation, numerous violations of sanitary standarts were identified. The activity of the camp «Orlyatko» has been stopped.
INFO: Acute Sonne dysentery transmitted fecal-oral route (food or water). Clinically, the patient has dysentery, diarrhea, abdominal pain, tenesmus, intoxication syndrome.
As «The Journalist» reported, some 25 people were taken to the hospital with food poisoning, after having a meal in Lviv fast food restaurant.
