«On June 23rd, at 18:11 in Zbarazh city, on the territory of the inactive alcohol base of the state enterprise Zarubinetsky Distillery, an explosion of containers with bioethanol (volume about 420 tons) occurred in a one-storeyed production building, followed by burning and spreading to a neighboring building. The fire department was liquidated on the area of 1 thousand 200 sq. m», – the report says.
There are no victims and victims as a result of the fire.
It is noted that 400 people were evacuated from 50 private residential buildings located nearby. During the fire extinguishing, the administrative building, warehouse of finished furniture products and six private houses were saved.
In total, 68 personnel of the SES and 17 units of equipment were involved in the fire elimination.
As of the morning of 24th of June, on the site of the fire to prevent re-ignition on duty, there were eight rescuers and two units of equipment.
