Polish presidential elections which were to be held on May 10, were postponed to a later period. This was stated in a joint statement by the leader of the political party Law and Justice Jarosław Kaczyński and his ally Jarosław Gowin.
To statement, they said that due to rejecting by the opposition of all of the constructive proposals that would allow the presidential election to be held this year, was prepared a decision that would provide an opportunity for all citizens to participate in the elections.
“After the expected cancellation of the elections on May 10, 2020, by the Supreme Court, the Speaker of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland will announce new presidential elections as soon as possible,” the statement reads.
