Polish Office for Foreigners named number of Ukrainians who obtained residence permit in Poland

A spokesman for Office for Foreigners (UDSC), Jakub Dudziak,, said that since the beginning of 2019, the number of foreigners with valid residence permits in Poland has increased by 11,000 people, Poland Radio informs.

According to UDSC, in the Q1 2019, the largest number of issued residence permits concerned, first of all, the citizens of Ukraine (an increase of 7,600 – up to 186,500 people), Belarus (by 1,300 – up to 21,500 people), Georgia (by 500 permits – up to 3,400 people), India (by 300 permits – up to 9,100 people), and Nepal (by 200 permits – up to 1,800 people).

It is noted that the most popular regions among foreigners (with a valid permit) to reside in Poland were four voivodships: Mazovia (114,000 people), Lesser Poland  (38,000 people), Lower Silesia (31,000 people) and Greater Poland (30,000 people).

As The Journalist reported, Ukraine and Poland will create board game to popularize tourism.
