The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak took part in the 12th “Kyiv Security Forum”, which took place on April 11 and 12. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense.
“In the entire history of independent Ukraine, we tried several times to reform the security and defense sector. And they could not complete them. Today the situation has changed dramatically. All that we plan, we have the opportunity to immediately experience in battle. With such threats, when the Russian Federation continues the pressure in the Sea of Azov – and has experienced an order of actions there, and now it acts in the Black Sea. I have no doubt that later such a tactic of actions will be in other seas, and in relation to other countries of the world.
The most important thing is the immutability of the course, which is defined by the Constitution of Ukraine – entry into NATO. A club that provides security to all countries that are part of the North Atlantic Alliance. However, not everything depends on Ukraine, and this requires the political will of our partners. And no less important, for this you need to remember the story and draw conclusions from it. And to cooperate with all European countries in matters of security can be constructive, ” said the Minister of Defense during a speech at the forum.
