The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine quoted the Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak, who emphasized the importance of the Canadian military training mission UNIFIER for the further integration of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into NATO.
It is noted that Poltorak held a meeting with the Canadian delegation led by the Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Roman Vasсhuk on board the TORONTO frigate of the Royal Canadian Navy,whichtakes part in the SEA Breeze-2019 international naval exercises.
The head of the Ministry of Defense expressed his gratitude to the Canadian side for the consistent support of Ukraine during the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
“Poltorak stressed the importance and efficiency of the UNIFIER training mission for the further integration of Ukraine’s Armed Forces into NATO”, the report notes.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the issues of further cooperation in the military-technical sphere.
