U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will arrive in Ukraine today, January 30. He is expected to meet with President Zelensky, Foreign Minister Prystaiko, and Defense Minister Zahorodniuk. This was reported on the website of the U.S. Department of State.
During his two-day visit to Kyiv, the Secretary of State will also take part in the ceremony of laying wreaths at Mykhailivska Square to commemorate those who died in Donbas, and will meet with religious, civil society and business leaders. The report notes that the purpose of the visit is to emphasize U.S. support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
