US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and German Chancellor Angela Merkel have discussed support for Ukraine and countering Russian aggression.
According to the website of the US Foreign Ministry, citing the State Department spokesman Morgan Ortagus, Pompeo and Merkel met on May 31.
“Secretary of State Pompeo met with Germany’s Chancellor Merkel to discuss key common priorities, including supporting Ukraine and countering Russian aggression,” the report said.
The interlocutors, among other things, discussed the Iranian regime’s escalating threats in the region and the need to counter Iran’s missile activities.
As The Journalist reported, Pompeo and Maas discussed US-Germany cooperation regarding the war in the Donbas.
