Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko arrived in the morning, August 12, at the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) for questioning as a witness in the case of a possible tax evasion during the acquisition of the Priamy TV channel.
At this time, supporters and opponents of the former head of state gathered at the department’s building.
On July 1, the SBI conducted investigative actions in the premises of the Priamy TV channel.
According to UNIAN, enhanced security measures were placed during Poroshenko’s interrogation at the State Bureau of Investigation.
So, after the incident of July 25, when a provocateur jumped onto the hood of the car in the SBI, today the office building is under heavy guard by the police and the National Guard.
In particular, the police created a corridor for Poroshenko, so that he could go into the SBI’s building.
Three children of Poroshenko – Mykhailo, Evhen and Oleksandr – came to support him.
As The Journalist reported, Poroshenko’s lawyer claims that former president does not have the status of a suspect.
