The current president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called on the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to adopt a law on the impeachment of the president. At the same time, he note that he is the first Ukrainian president, who initiates a discussion of the law on impeachment. The head of state said this on ICTV TV channel, Liga.net reports.
Poroshenko said that the law on impeachment should be adopted and discussed in the Rada.
“I firmly believe that the law on impeachment is needed. As well as the law on temporary investigatory commissions. I am confident that there should be a discussion in the parliament on this issue, and this law should be adopted to bring president to responsibility if he violates the Constitution, commits a crime,” the head of state said.
The President noted that he was ready to send representatives to discuss the bill with parliamentarians.
As The Journalist reported, Poroshenko said that his new team will not be consisted partners and loved ones.
