President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the information about his interference in the investigation of businessman Serhiy Kurchenko’s case, which includes closest associates of the current head of state, is not true.
Poroshenko said this on 1+1 TV Channel’s panel show Pravo na Vladu, UNIAN informs.
“I know about this statement, and I’d like to immediately emphasize that the information about my alleged interference in the investigation of any criminal cases, including the case Mr. Kulyk is noting, is absolute nonsense, an absolute outright lie,” Poroshenko said after the deputy head of the Department of International Legal Cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office Kostyantyn Kulyk came to studio.
“As I understand, it is about me ‘interfering’ in the investigation of a specific criminal case, trying to shield certain people,” said the head of state and stressed: “this is not true.”
As The Journalist reported, Groysman said that the presidential election is not a reason for the prime minister’s resignation.
