Ukrainian presidential candidates Petro Poroshenko and Volodymyr Zelensky plan to meet with French President Emanuel Macron in Paris.
This was stated by the Spokesperson for Poroshenko’s campaign headquarters Oleh Medvedev, UNIAN reports.
“Oddly enough, but I know that Zelensky will meet with Macron. I will explain why: the French were coordinating this issue with the Ukrainian side by diplomatic channels,” said Medvedev.
He noted that Poroshenko’s position is like “it would be good for Zelensky to get off the stage and dive into the world of real politics including the international one, start to get some experience.”
Medvedev also assured that regardless of what the results of the presidential election will be, it is obvious that Zelensky’s team will go to parliamentary elections.
“I know that Zelensky will probably be in Paris on Friday and will have a meeting with Macron. Petro Poroshenko should be in Paris on the same day and will also meet with Macron,” he said.
As The Journalist reported, on April 12, Poroshenko will make a visit to Germany to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
