President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has visited the event dedicated to the beginning of the academic year held at Lyceum Naukova Zmina in Kyiv. In his congratulatory speech, the Head of State voiced his intention to build a future for the schoolchildren in the European Union. This is reported by Strana.ua news agency.
«I am convinced that today’s schoolchildren will definitely live in the European Union. And they will live in Ukraine, because our country will be a member of the EU. We jointly return Ukraine to Europe – our common home,» – the President specified.
Poroshenko called expenditure on education as «investment in the future of the state.»
