President Petro Poroshenko said that the European Union without Ukraine will be an «incomplete project.»
The Head of State said this today during his speech at the Independence Square on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine.
«Without Ukraine the European Union will not become a completed project. without European independent Ukraine, Europe would have less peace in Europe,» – Poroshenko said.
The President stressed that without the restoration of territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Ukrainian state, all borders in Central and Eastern Europe «will be uncertain.»
«The Russian war against Ukraine is part of the Kremlin’s plan to destroy the European Union and NATO. Our soldiers in the east stay on guard of security and prosperity not only in Ukraine, but throughout Europe. So, we do not go to the European Union and NATO with empty hands,» – the Head of State said.
