Poroshenko appointed new governor of Kyiv Oblast

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has dismissed Oleksandr Horhan from the post of Chairman of the Kyiv Regional State Administration and appointed Oleksandr Tereshchuk to this position.

The relevant decrees were published on the Presidential website.

By Decree No.348/2018 of October 30, the President dismissed Horhan from the post of Chairman of the Kyiv Regional State Administration in accordance with his application.

By Decree No.349/2018 of October 30, Poroshenko appointed the First Deputy Chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Tereshchuk, as the Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.

Note that Tereshchuk was born in 1964 in the Vinnitsa Oblast.

From July 22, 2014 to June 5, 2015, he served as the Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kyiv.

On July 3, 2015 Poroshenko canceled Tereshchuk’s lustration.

On December 14, 2015, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov reported that he had dismissed Tereshchuk and several high-ranking employees of the capital Police Headquarters.

From April 2016 to October 30 of 2018, Tereshchuk served as First Deputy Chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration.

As Th Journalist reported, President of Ukraine appointed 30 judges to district and city courts.
