Poroshenko passed a document to the UN General Assembly on suspension of Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation with Russia

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko instructed diplomats to circulate as an official document at the UN General Assembly a note on termination of treaty on friendship and cooperation with Russia. Ukrainian leader believes that no one left any doubt about final departure of Kyiv from «Russian Empire». It is reported by UNIAN.

«Our fantastic people are returning to family of peoples of European Union», Poroshenko said. He also added that relationship that Ukraine now has with Russia, «it’s not exactly a language to call a friendship».

September 21, Ukraine formally sent General Assembly of the United Nations a note on non-renewal of the «Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership».
Ukrainian leader noted that document details all violations committed by Russia against Ukrainian people and state – this concerns «armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine», «hybrid aggression of Russia against Ukraine» and economic pressure on Kyiv.

Previously Journalist reported that President of Ukraine and Secretary of State for Defense of Great Britain discussed the strengthening of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
