The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has congratulated the Ukrainian athletes, who won 7 gold, 8 silver and 8 bronze medals at the 3rd Youth Olympic Games in Argentina.
This was reported by the press service of the Head of State.
«When Ukraine entered the top 10 in the unofficial standings in competitions, in which representatives from more than 200 countries took part, this is your contribution to establishing Ukraine’s status in the world. Thank you for glorifying Ukraine,» the President stressed this at the meeting with the athletes and their coaches.
It should be noted that in the history of performances at the summer and winter youth Olympic Games, Ukrainians have won 93 medals: 27 gold, 30 silver and 36 bronze.
As The Journalist reported, Ukrainian team won another gold medal at Invictus Games.
