President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko dismissed Volodymyr Horbulin from the post of director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies. The new director instead of Horbulin was appointed Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Rostyslav Pavlenko.

This is stated in the relevant presidential decrees of July 30.

«To dismiss Volodymyr Pavlovich Horbulin from the post of director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies in connection with his transfer to the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine,» – the document says.

By other two decrees, Poroshenko has dismissed Pavlenko from the post of Deputy Head of the AP and appointed him as Head of the National Institute for Strategic Studies.

As reported by Ukrayinska Pravda news agency, Horbulin called this personnel decision as a common one.

«I have had three positions: the director of the institute, the presidential adviser and the first vice-president of the National Academy of Sciences. Now I will have two posts. There is nothing to comment on. Life goes on. I continue to work for the good of our country,» – Horbulin said.

As The Journalist reported, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed two members of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.
