Chairman of the Temporary Parlamientary Commission on investigating information on the facts of embezzlement in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and undermining the state’s defense capability from 2004 to 2017, Ivan Vinnik, considers it necessary to reform Ukroboronprom.
“I believe that we need to urgently reform this superstructure, called Ukroboronprom. I think that this situation will allow the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense and, I hope, the President of Ukraine, to take appropriate decisions and implement the law on national security … We will reorganize the Ukroboronprom concern,” Vynnyk said.
The head of the Temporary Investigation Commission noted that “reorganization is a diplomatic term,” UNIAN reports.
“We’ll just actually destroy it. And all enterprises should subordinate, in my opinion, to the central executive authority, which will already implement the regulatory function in the field of security and defense,” Vynnyk said.
The deputy also noted that when regulatory and economic functions are combined within the same subject, namely, in the legal entity Ukroboronprom, then “according to obvious studies, this contains corruption risks”.
As The Journalist reported, the deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Hladkovskyi said that his son would plead with investigative journalists.
