International airport «Poltava» began to accept passenger flights (PHOTO)

On July 29th for the first time after reconstruction a passenger flight landed at the airport «Poltava».

As reported by the agency Novyny Poltavschiny, several dozen foreign tourists from Zaporozhia flew aboard the Yak-40. They are tourists from the USA, Canada, China and Europe, who after visiting Poltava will go to Kryvyi Roh and return to Zaporozhia.

According to the report, on December 20th, 2017 Cabinet of Ministers granted international airport status to the airport «Poltava». In April of this year, repairation works have begun. The first international flight from the airport was due to fly out in May, but because of the delay in repair work, flights had to be postponed.

As reported by «Journalist» at the airport in Munich almost 330 flights were canceled. Thus 32 thousand people suffered from this situation.
