After presidential cadence completion Poroshenko wants to become MEP

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that he dreams of becoming a deputy of European Parliament after the completion of the presidential cadence.
The head of state said this during the youth forum “The opinion of young people is important. Prospects for joining NATO and the EU" in Kyiv oblast reports Interfax-Ukraine.
The head of state stressed that Ukraine had never been so close to the EU as it is today.

“The strategic goal is to apply for EU membership no later than 2023 and receive an Action Plan regarding NATO membership,” the president stressed.
“When they ask me who I want to work with … after the presidential cadence, I say: for me, one worthy job I dream of is to be a member of the European Parliament,” Poroshenko said.
The head of state reminded that only a member state of the European Union can delegate its representatives to European Parliament.
