Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Ukraine, Jan Pieklo, is confident that there will be no stable Europe without a successful, democratic and prosperous Ukraine.
The diplomat said this at the annual conference of the Ukrainian Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum.
«I personally believe that Ukraine is crucial to ensure security on the European continent. Without a successful transformation of Ukraine into the fully democratic and prosperous country, it will be impossible to think about a democratic and stable Europe,» Segodnya.ua news agency quoted Jan Pieklo, as saying.
«This is a key factor, and we are pretty well aware of this due to the illegal annexation of the Crimea and the situation in Donbas. There is also a threat aimed to destabilize the whole Europe,» said Mr Pieklo.
In this regard, the Ambassador has expressed his hope that the European Union, together with all countries of the Eastern Partnership initiative, and, in particular, Ukraine, will succeed in stopping destabilization process.
