The Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Ukraine warns FC Liverpool fans travelling to Kyiv about possible manifestations of racism in the capital of Ukraine.

It is said in a Travel advice for Liverpool fans travelling to Kyiv for the UEFA Champions League Final between Liverpool FC and Real Madrid on Saturday 26 May.

«Most trips to Ukraine are trouble free, however there have been cases of violent attacks on foreign nationals in Kyiv and some of these may have been racially motivated, so take extra care and be vigilant at all times», – reported the Embassy.

Embassy recommend to fans also «be aware of the current political situation (in particular the tension between Ukraine and Russia) and avoid any action that could provoke a hostile reaction».

It is noted that access to public transport is difficult for those with disabilities. Also fans are recommended not to leave jackets or bags containing wallets or passports unattended if they are in a restaurant or a bar and to be wary of accepting drinks in bars from strangers or people they have just met.

As «The Journalist» reported, in the city of Dnepr the football fan threw a explosive device under policeman’s body armor.
