Vice Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko said that residents of Ukraine receiving subsidies will not feel price increase for gas for the population.
«Those people who receive subsidies, their payment for natural gas, housing and communal services will not increase, because it is fixed. Whatever the price of gas, a person will pay the same amount», press service of Cabinet of Ministers quotes Rozenko.
Rozenko also expressed the opinion that Cabinet will not decide on raising the price of gas for population before arrival of mission of International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Kyiv, which is scheduled for September 6th.
«I think that the IMF mission will arrive first, negotiations will be held, final coordination of these issues», the deputy prime minister said.
At the same time, Rozenko acknowledged that there are objective reasons for such an unpopular decision: for 2.5 years since the previous gas price increase for population, the world price for blue fuel has increased. Also, t price should increase due to the devaluation of hryvnia.
