Germany’s interior minister Horst Seehofer said he hopes to reach agreement on refugees with Italy by the end of the July. This is reported by Deutsche Welle.
It is reported, that «appropriate negotiations in the ministries of both countries will soon begin». The main topic will address issues of internal migration to Germany from Italy through Austria and the possibility of returning refugees, as well as rescue operations at sea.
According to the head of the Italian Ministry of Internal Affairs Matteo Salvini, the main thing to decide is the strategy for protecting the Europe borders. He also confirmed that the Governments of both countries have a common goal: «fewer refugees on the coast, fewer deaths, fewer migrants in Italy and Germany.»
