The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the regulation on imposing special obligations on the subjects of the natural gas market to ensure public interests in the process of the natural gas market functioning until October 27, thereby leaving the gas prices for the population unchanged.
The corresponding decree was published on the governmental website, UNIAN news agency reported.
Note that the Cabinet has decided to postpone the rise in prices of natural gas for households since April this year. The document provides for the extension of the special obligations of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine with regard to gas sales to regional gas companies and district-level central heating providers without a change of price until June 1.
On May 30, the Cabinet extended the special obligations for Naftogaz to sell gas for the needs of the population until August 1, 2018, on July 26 – until September 1, on August 29 – until October 1, on September 28 – until October 18.
The gas prices for households are set as UAH 4,942 per 1,000 cubic meters or UAH 6,958 per thousand cubic meters including value added tax (VAT) and transmission costs.
As The Journalist reported, after the Government raises gas price for households, heat tariffs will increase in a month.
