A separate Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has been created within the Department of Homeland Security. This is reported by the press service of the Homeland Security Ministry.
The report notes that the legislation on the creation of a cybersecurity agency was adopted by the Lower House of the US Congress and heads to the US President Donald Trump’s desk to be signed into law.
«The cyber threat landscape is constantly evolving, and we need to ensure we’re properly positioned to defend America’s infrastructure from threats digital and physical,» said Minister Kirstjen Nielsen.
