Law enforcers exposed former engineer who helped foreign company in creation of military equipment

The former engineer of one of the Kharkiv research institutions was convicted of illegal cooperation with a foreign military company, the press service of the SBU reports.
Law enforcers have established that an employee of the design bureau, while staying in an East Asian country, has collaborated with a foreign engineering corporation.

“For a reward, the man advised foreigners on the development and construction of individual components of military armored vehicles. At the same time, according to the Ukrainian legislation, technical assistance in the military-technical sphere should be carried out only with the permission of the State Export Control Service of Ukraine,” the report says.

Within the framework of this offense, criminal proceedings were opened under Part 1 of Article 333 (Violation of the procedure for the international transfer of goods subject to state export control) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
All the circumstances of the illegal activity are continue to being established.
As The Journalist reported, the SBU detained 71 foreign intelligence officers over the past year.
