The Federal Criminal Police of Germany appealed to the European Commission with a proposal to buy out huge stocks of small arms that remain in circulation in the countries of the former Yugoslavia. This is reported by DW news agency.
According to Interpol, in the countries of the former Yugoslavia may be about four million units of small arms. For the most part, according to Criminal Police, they are kept in arsenals under state control.

«If these stocks become uncontrolled or destroyed, they may turned out to be in the criminal use,» – the report said.

It is noted that the German law enforcers proposed a pan-European program of police cooperation. Thus, a program will be created for the repurchasing of weapons; it will also be necessary to negotiate with the Governments of the Balkan countries and the responsible departments.
As The Journalist reported, in order to prevent the diversion of weapons from the Joint Force Operation area, law enforcement officers began a thorough check of all trains running through the territory of the Luhansk Oblast.
