The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Denys Shmygal as the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast State Administration.
“I want to introduce to you a person, a really very powerful manager. I personally envy you very much, I envy the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, because it’s very difficult for us to choose governors in Ukraine, as a whole,” the president said.
To Zelensky, “there are few such political volunteers who want to do something good for Ukraine.”
“I want to appoint Denys Schmygal the chairman of the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast State Administration,” the president said.
Shmygal (born 1975), a native of Lviv. In January 2018, he became director of the Burshtyn TPP (PJSC DTEK Zakhidenergo).
Prior to that, he held the post of head of the Department of Economic Development, Trade and Industry of the Lviv Oblast State Administration, was the deputy head of the main department of the Ministry of Revenue in the Lviv Oblast.
