President appointed Vitaly Komarnitsky as head of Luhansk Oblast State Administration

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Vitaly Komarnitsky as head of the Luhansk Oblast State Administration.

This is stated in the presidential decree №493 / 2019 of July 5, published on the presidential website.

“To appoint Vitaly Komarnitsky as the chairman of the Luhansk Oblast State Administration”, the decree says.

In addition, on July 7, during a working his visit to Luhansk oblast, the president introduced a new head of the Luhansk Oblast State Administration and gave him a certificate of employment of the head of oblast. Zelensky highlighted that the mission of the head of oblast was to find ways for restoration of Luhansk oblast.

“For our country, the priority is to stop the war. In parallel, you have to find opportunities and desire to restore Donbas. During our flight with Mr. Donald Tusk (President of the European Council – Ed.) we saw destroyed houses, lack of roads. I think this is not only due to the war, but because no one is dealing with it”, the president emphasized.

In his turn, Komarnitsky thanked the president for his trust and stressed that the implementation of the tasks was realistic.

“I am aware of the mood of people and the problems existing in Luhansk oblast. I know that the people want to work here”, the newly-appointed official added.

As reported by The Journalist, Zelensky dismissed head of Presidential Administration and its deputies.
