President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko conferred the title “Hero of Ukraine” with the award of the Order of the “Golden Star” to Colonel of National Guard from Lviv Andrii Sokolenko (posthumously).

Sokolenko is marked “for exceptional personal courage and heroism shown in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath”.
Poroshenko also awarded the title “Hero of Ukraine” with the award of the Order of the “Golden Star” to a public figure, volunteer, member of the Revolution of Dignity Dmitry Honcharenko (posthumously).

The document notes that Honcharenko was awarded for civil courage and patriotism, heroic upholding of the constitutional principles of democracy, human rights and freedoms, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and sacrificial service to the Ukrainian people.
As reported by the Journalist, the president posthumously awarded Yana Chervona with the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskiy.
