President Volodymyr Zelensky formed a delegation of Ukraine which will participate in the UN Arbitration Tribunal hearings on the Ukraine’s case against the Russian Federation on coastal state rights in the Black and Azov Seas and in the Kerch Strait.
The corresponding decree No.339/2019 dated May 30 is published on the website of the head of state.
The document states that the court session scheduled on June 10-14, 2019 in the city of The Hague (Kingdom of the Netherlands). The delegation will be headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Integration Olena Zerkal.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Mr. Vsevolod Chentsov was appointed deputy Chairman of the delegation.
The delegation consist of seven officials. The Cabinet must provide funds needed for the participation of the Ukraine’s delegation in the arbitral tribunal hearings.
As The Journalist reported, Russia will face new sanctions in case of non-compliance with the requirements of the maritime tribunal.
