President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Ihor Sopel as head of the Ternopil Oblast State Administration.
The presentation ceremony took place today, November 1, during a workshop as part of Zelensky’s trip to Ternopil Oblast.
“Let me introduce the new chairman of the Ternopil Oblast State Administration, Ihor Sopel. My congratulations. Thank you,” the president said.
Zelensky handed to Sopel the certificate of the chairman of the Ternopil RSA.
Ihor Sopel was born in 1974 in the city of Khorostkiv, Ternopil Oblast. He graduated from Ternopil State Technical University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked as a locksmith, engineer at the Khorostkiv sugar factory, was engaged in entrepreneurial detail, and headed the Khorostkiv regional structural unit of Agrobusiness LLC.
In 2010-2015, he was a deputy of the Khorostkiv city council, and since 2017 the head of the Football Federation in Khorostkiv
