President of Slovenia appointed new ambassador to Ukraine

President of Slovenia Borut Pahor has signed a decree appointing Tomaž Mencin as new ambassador of Slovenia to Ukraine. This was published on the Slovenian Foreign Ministry website.

Tomaž Mencin has been working for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia since 1992 as an ambassador of Human Rights Department.

INFO: Tomaž Mencin was the ambassador of the Slovenian Permanent Mission for human rights in Geneva, the head of the department for public diplomacy and bilateral economic cooperation, the ambassador of Slovenia to Buenos Aires, the head of the department for Asia, Africa and the Pacific, temporary manager at the Slovenian Embassy in New Delhi.

He also worked in the embassies of Slovenia in Stockholm, Tehran and Ankara.

As The Journalist reported, Ukraine, Slovakia will start exchange of customs information on goods transported across border.
