The office of the President Volodymyr Zelensky said no prisoners swap had taken place yet and the process was ongoing.
“The process of the prisoner swap is ongoing. Information that it has been completed is untrue,” the message says.
At the same time, the head of state’s press center noted that President Volodymyr Zelensky will comment on the release of political prisoners on official channels.
Earlier, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk said that he hoped for an exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia. He did not comment about whether the prisoners of the Kremlin would arrive in Ukraine today.
The spokeswoman for the Security Service of Ukraine Olena Hytlianska said that negotiations on the exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia are still ongoing.
