A regular meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (Ukraine, Russia, OSCE) was held in the format of a video conference. Representatives of certain regions of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine took part in the TCG meeting. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
The Ukrainian delegation emphasized that the establishing of a sustainable and comprehensive ceasefire is a priority, and stressed on the need to provide full and unhindered access of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE SMM) Special Monitoring Mission to the entire temporarily non-government controlled territory.
The Ukrainian side was invited to hold an additional meeting of the security group to achieve progress on the issue of the separation of forces and assets in Donbas area.
“For the first time representatives of certain regions of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine took an active part in the work of the political group and the TCG as part of the Ukrainian delegation, in order to conduct the consultations provided by the Minsk agreements. Some districts of the Donetsk region were represented by journalists Denys Kazansky and Serhiy Garmash, some regions of the Luhansk region were represented by the chairman of the International Public Organization “Lugansk Community”, lawyer Vadym Goran and doctor Kostiantyn Libster,” the statement reads.
Representatives of the ORDLO of Ukraine stressed the need to coordinate the aspects of a political settlement with the spokesmen for the interests of more than 1.5 million people who were forced to leave their homes as a result of the conflict.
Representatives of the ORDLO of Ukraine will take part in the TCG working groups and in the TCG format on an ongoing basis.
The TCG announced a technical break until June 15.
