Spokesperson to the President of Ukraine, Yulia Mendel, said that Volodymyr Zelensky is forming a more effective team for negotiations in Minsk, and this is precisely the reason for the dismissal of Roman Bezsmertny as a Trilateral Contact Group representative in the subgroup on the political issues.
“Today the Minsk negotiation process remains the only platform where Ukraine has the opportunity to negotiate on important issues related to Donbas and, in particular, on a ceasefire regime, returning of prisoners, the exchange of captives. The president delegated the second president of Ukraine, Leonid Kuchma to defend the position of Ukraine in this difficult negotiation process, and under his leadership we are now forming the most effective team that will be able to productively defend Ukraine’s position within the framework of the TСG in Minsk,” Mendel told Channel 5.
However, according to Bezsmertny, he found out about his dismissal from the media.
“The working style of the President’s Office: I learned about my appointment and my dismissal as TCG representative in Minsk from the media,” the politician said.
As The Journalist reported, Zelensky dismissed heads of Donetsk and Lviv oblasts RSA.
