According to the website of the press service of the department, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the unrecognized Transnistrian republic refused to withdraw the military contingent of the Russian Federation.

«The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stresses that Russian troops in Transnistria carry out exclusively tasks to ensure sustainable peace and security, and there are no other Russian armed forces other than peacekeeping forces on the territory of the Republic», – the message said.

As «The Journalist» reported, the UN General Assembly approved the resolution which calls for withdrawing Russian troops from the territory of Transnistria.

The resolution was drawn up by Moldova, Canada, Estonia, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania and Ukraine.
