The Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli expects that Ukraine will abolish the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land.
Hugues Mingarelli said this during the «window of opportunity for reforms» forum dedicated to the implementation of reforms on the eve of elections in Ukraine in Kyiv, UNIAN reported.
According to Mingarelli the reform «in the sphere of agricultural land turnover important for Ukraine».
«In many countries it was catastrophically unsuccessful, but for Ukraine this is one of the key issues. It will be a pity if you cannot turn this potential into reality without lifting the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land», – Mr Mingarelli said.
Hugues Mingarelli also noted the need for reforms in the energy sector.
«Ukraine needs an adequate energy regulator, effective enough for work with Naftogaz», – отметил представитель ЕС.
As «The Journalist» reported, the European Court declared the moratorium on land in Ukraine as illegal.
