The visa-free entry regime applies to visitors who cross the border at the Minsk National Airport. This is reported by Radio Liberty.
The report says that according to the new decree, signed by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on July 24, citizens of 80 countries will be able to stay in the country within 30 days.
In particular, the list includes 39 countries in Europe, the United States, Australia and Japan.
According to Lukashenko, this measure is aimed to increase the further development of the tourism sector, as well as presenting Belarus as a good organizer of sports events and festivals.
It should be noted, that the decree will not apply to foreigners, arriving in Belarus from Russia by air and also those flying to Russian airports. These are internal flights, with no border controls.
