Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk wrote a letter of resignation and handed it to President Volodymyr Zelensky. He wrote about this today, January 17, on his Facebook page.

“I came to the position of PM to fulfill the program of the President. He is for me a model of openness and decency. However, in order to take away any doubts about our respect and trust in the President, I wrote a letter of resignation and handed it to the President with the right to submit it to Parliament,” Honcharuk said.

According to the head of government, events have been unfolding in recent days around networked files mounted from fragments of meeting records in the Cabinet of Ministers. They create an artificial representation that the government does not respect the head of state.

“Many influence groups which seek to gain access to financial flows, made it looks like we disrespect the President. But this is not true,” the PM emphasized.

The head of government also reported what he had done in four months in office and talked about plans.
