Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko has said that in London, during the meeting of the foreign ministers of Ukraine, Canada, Britain, Sweden and Afghanistan, has been created a mechanism to hold Iran accountable.

This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in parliament, answering questions asked by people’s deputies.

“I came from a meeting of five foreign ministers. During the meeting was created a mechanism that will allow to hold Iran accountable and complete very complex and sensitive affairs with our citizens,” Prystaiko said.

According to the diplomat, today Ukraine is fully cooperating with Iran.

“But at the same time, a joint criminal investigation group has been created, and at the UN has also been created a group that is considering the possibility of increasing international pressure on Iran. That is, there are all mechanisms in order to exert pressure and receive not only apologies, but also compensation for our citizens,” UNIAN quotes Pristayko, as saying.

On the eve of January 16, the foreign ministers of Canada, François-Philippe Champagne, FM of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko, FM of Great Britain Dominic Raab, Sweden FM Anne Linde and acting Afghan Foreign Minister Idres Zaman called on Iran to continue to cooperate in investigating the downing of an UIA plane.

“We have seen cooperation from Iran, but we continue to daily monitor the situation and urge Iran to continue cooperation,” Champagne said.

Canada, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Afghanistan will continue to exchange information and experience and act in a consolidated manner to achieve justice for families of victims of the tragedy.

As The Journalist reported, Iran sent UIA plane’s black box to France.
