Famous Polish actors have recorded two video stories written by Ukrainian filmdirector Oleh Sentsov, who was sentenced to 20 years in a Russian penal colony.
The autobiographical stories by Ukrainian political prisoner were read by the famous actor of theater and cinema, Daniel Olbrychski (the winner of the best male role at the Molodist-2016 film festival), Andrzej Seweryn and other artists. This is reported by Culture.pl news portal.
«I read Sentsov’s story so I could express my solidarity. I do it for myself, for my grandchildren. I want Sentsov’s texts to be heard by other Poles. I hope that Oleh will be able to hear his own works in a good Polish translation,» – said Seweryn.
«Recently we are talking about Sentsov only as a political prisoner. We wanted to show him as an artist, so we translated some of his stories into Polish and English languages, to share them with a wider audience,» – project initiator Zenya Klimakin told.
