The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov believes that in order for new parties to enter the parliament, it is necessary to reduce the entry barrier to 2-3%, Interfax-Ukraine reported.

“I believe that the barrier for entry to VR should be less than 5%. This is my personal position. Each of the parliamentary factions will have its own position,” the speaker emphasized.

Razumkov noted that the Electoral Code, vetoed by the President of Ukraine, need to be changed, and people’s deputies will finalize this document.

The speaker noted that it would be better if entry barrier will be reduced to less than 3 percent, or even to 2 percent, for the new political forces will be able to get into parliament.

However, the speaker did not say what this indicator will be, since he is not directly involved in the process of the work group.
