The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov has said that deputies should be more cautioned about what they say when communicating with people.
Razumkov said this during the Conciliation Council of Parliament.
“I would like to appeal to all people’s deputies, so that sometimes we should be more carefully with the words we say. Not only during broadcasts, but also during our work and communication with people. I understand that we also being tend to make mistakes, like all others, but the responsibility that lies with the people’s deputies many times higher,” the Speaker of the Parliament convinced.
According to Razumkov, “it seems that when an MP gets into parliament he or she begin to live in a different reality, divorced from society.”
“I think that we should not forget that the situation can change quite quickly, which, by the way, was demonstrated very clear during the last election. And you may find yourself closer to people from the seats in the Verkhovna Rada session hall one day. Therefore, I highly recommend you to communicate with people more often, be noticeable to their problems, and if possible, help solve them,” he said.
As The Journalist reported, Razumkov says when Rada may consider reducing number of MPs.
