The militants have increasingly ignored orders to shell Ukrainian army positions and populated areas, said spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Colonel Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, citing data from the Directorate General of Intelligence.
“The command of the Russian occupation forces is trying to replenish the personnel of units of the formations of 1st (Donetsk) and 2nd (Luhansk) Armed Corpus of the Russian Armed Forces by invoking the locals of the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. In this regard, the Russian occupation administrations have stepped up the activities of mobile recruiting centers, whose representatives are refining lists and locations of potential recruits in an emergency way,” noted Motuzyanik.
The speaker also reported about the growing cases of conflicts between officers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and servicemen called up from local residents.
In particular, according to intelligence data, the number of cases of ignoring orders from Russian supervisors regarding the conduct of provocative shelling of the positions of JFO units and populated areas increases.
“In order to increase motivation for military service and prevent mass contract release and desertion by privates and sergeants, Russian propagandists are actively spreading rumors about a possible increase in cash support,” the Defense Ministry spokesperson added.
